Semi Leather is a high quality synthetic leather. It is composed of 3 layers. The first layer is PU and the second and third layers are made up from microfibre. It should be noted that semi leather is a superior quality when compared to normal PU. For Example, the thickness of semi leather is approximately 1.05mm (comparable to genuine leather) whereas PU is only 0.6mm approximately.
At Danger we prefer to use semi leather rather than genuine leather, because:
1. The quality is similar to genuine leather in terms of its texture and durability.
2. We support People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and believe that animal products should not be used when alternatives are available.
3. Semi leather is a little cheaper than genuine leather, which allows us to produce high quality equipment at a lower price than genuine leather products. This saving is then in turn passed onto you the customer.
